Leg Swing

Leg Swing Exercise

The leg swing is a dynamic mobility exercise designed to improve flexibility, strength, and coordination in the lower body. This exercise can be performed both forwards and sideways, targeting various muscles in the legs, hips, and lower back.

How to Perform Leg Swings

  1. Start Position: Stand next to a wall or a sturdy object for balance. Shift your weight onto the leg that will remain grounded.

  2. Swing Motion:

    • Forward & Backward: Swing the opposite leg forward in front of your body, keeping it straight. Then, swing it back behind you in a controlled manner. Ensure your movements are smooth and controlled.

    • Side to Side: Swing the opposite leg across your body and then outwards to the side. Maintain a gentle rhythm, ensuring your foot doesn’t touch the ground during the swing.

Incorporating leg swings into your fitness routine can lead to better performance in sports and improved functional movement in daily activities.
